Terms and Conditions of Use

Last updated: August 29, 2026

By using Cuídame you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

1. The most important thing: Cuídame is not a medical source

Cuídame is a notebook. It stores what you write down and reminds you of it. Nothing more.

Cuídame does not diagnose, does not interpret results, does not recommend treatments and does not replace any health professional. No figure, chart, reminder or alert in the application should be taken as a medical instruction.

Do not use Cuídame as the source of truth about a treatment. The source of truth is your doctor's original prescription and what he or she tells you. If there is any difference between what the app says and what your doctor or your prescription says, the doctor and the prescription always prevail.

In an emergency, call the emergency services. Do not open the app.

2. You are responsible for verifying what the app records

You must check that the information saved is correct before acting on it. This applies to everything, but especially to these three cases:

Automatic reading of prescriptions. When you scan a prescription, an artificial intelligence service tries to read it. It can make mistakes: confuse a similar name, misread a dose, misinterpret a schedule or overlook an instruction. That is why the app always shows you what it understood before saving it, and why you can correct every field. It is your responsibility to compare it with the original prescription. Do not save anything you have not verified.

Reminders. Alerts depend on your phone: on it being switched on, having notification permission and having the correct time. An alert may not arrive. Do not rely on the app alone to avoid forgetting a medication.

Silent mode turns the reminder off. If your iPhone is on silent, the alert appears on screen but makes no sound. Cuídame uses the highest level it can without a special permission from Apple — it gets through Focus mode, but not through silent. If you rely on the sound for a night-time dose, don't leave the phone on silent.

Shared care. When several people care for the same person, the app gives notice when someone records a dose, but that notice may be delayed or may not arrive (lack of connection, phone switched off, permissions). Before giving a medication, confirm with the other person. Do not assume that the app is up to date.

3. What you record is yours, and belongs to the person you care for

The data you enter is yours. We only store it in order to give it back to you.

If you record the health of another person, you declare that you have their authorization or that you are their legal representative, and you undertake to inform them of how their data is processed. See the Privacy Notice.

4. Proper use

By using Cuídame you undertake to:

We may suspend access to the support groups for anyone who breaches these rules, without that affecting the rest of the application.

5. The support groups are between users

What is posted in the groups is written by other users, not by us. We do not verify or endorse what is said there. Do not take it as medical advice. If something seems serious to you, report it from within the app itself.

6. The service is provided "as is"

We take care to make Cuídame work well, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, free of errors, or that alerts will always arrive on time. The application may change or stop offering features.

Prescription scanning has a free monthly limit that we may adjust.

7. Medication price search (Mexico only)

The app may show you medication prices at pharmacies and general information about what a substance is used for. It is only information for you to review, not a purchase recommendation nor a medical instruction.

This feature applies to Mexico only. The prices, pharmacies and availability shown correspond only to the Mexican market; they do not apply in any other country.

Prices come from third-party sites (the pharmacies) and are queried at that moment. They may be out of date, incorrect or unavailable. The actual price and stock can only be confirmed by the pharmacy. Cuídame does not sell medications nor take part in the purchase.

The "what it is used for" information comes from MedlinePlus (U.S. National Library of Medicine). It is reference material, not a medical instruction, and because it comes from a U.S. source its doses, presentations and brands may not correspond to Mexico.

Review everything and confirm with your doctor or with the pharmacy before buying or making any decision. We disclaim responsibility for purchase or health decisions made on the basis of this information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from:

None of the above limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

9. Account and cancellation

You can use Cuídame without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for access to your email address, which is the key to your account.

You can delete your account and all your data from *Settings → Delete my account*, at any time and without giving any explanation.

10. Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date above. When the change is significant we will show it to you in the app and ask you to accept it again.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States.
